A Greek-based company contacted us to inform us that one of their vessels operating in the Gulf had an auxiliary engine crankshaft failure. With short notice, our two-person team of specialists boarded the ship and asked the head engineer to release the connecting rods on all six crankpins. We were able to effectively repair the crankpin, which had a diameter of 145 mm and a bearing length of only 65 mm because we have a specialized crankshaft grinding machine that can handle grinding crankpins with small diameters and bearing widths.
